Software Development for Dallas Companies
An established Dallas company is rarely short of software. It often has a CRM, an accounting system, a portal and a few spreadsheets doing the work in between. We build the software that joins those pieces up, and the new products built from them.

Usually integration, not a blank page. Dallas is a market of financial services, insurance, real estate and distribution firms, and many of their hard problems sit between systems that were never designed to talk. We build the connections, internal tools and customer apps that close those gaps, and AI where a person still retypes or reconciles data by hand.
The industries the Dallas Fed sees in this market
The Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas, headquartered on North Pearl Street, names the main industry clusters of Dallas, Plano and Irving as business services, financial services, insurance, real estate, aerospace, defense and security, IT manufacturing and services, and distribution and e-commerce. Those are the buyers this page is written for:
- →Banks, lenders and fintechs. We have built fraud scoring, onboarding and KYC document checks, AML alert triage, and underwriting models that return reason codes. Our fintech page goes further.
- →Insurers and agencies. Intake of claims and applications that arrive as documents and email, read and checked before anyone keys them in.
- →Real estate operators. Leasing, maintenance and owner reporting connected to your property management system. See real estate.
- →Distribution and e-commerce. Orders, inventory and storefronts kept in step, including Shopify stores, Stripe payments and QuickBooks books. See e-commerce.
The Texas privacy law, in plain terms
The Texas Data Privacy and Security Act has applied since 1 July 2024 to businesses that operate in Texas or serve Texas residents, process personal data, and are not small businesses as the SBA defines them. Two parts matter when you commission software:
- →Data protection assessments. A business must conduct and document an assessment of certain processing, including targeted advertising, selling personal data, processing sensitive data, and profiling that carries a reasonably foreseeable risk to consumers. If the feature you are building does one of those, the assessment belongs in the design, not after launch.
- →Processor contracts. The law expects a contract between the business and anyone processing data on its behalf. Settle it before a vendor, including us, touches customer records.
The Act also carves out financial institutions and data subject to the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, and HIPAA covered entities and business associates, which is why a Dallas bank and a Dallas retailer get different answers. On regulated builds we scope these requirements with your counsel in the design phase.
Working next to an internal IT team
Some corporate teams have engineers of their own and need more hands, or need someone to take over a system a previous vendor left half built. We do both: staff augmentation inside your process, or a project takeover that starts by reading the code you already own.

Common questions from Dallas businesses
Does the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act apply to our new app?
It can. It covers businesses that operate in Texas or serve Texas residents, process personal data, and are not small businesses under the SBA definition, with exclusions such as GLBA-covered financial institutions and HIPAA covered entities and business associates. Your counsel makes the call; we build the consent, request-handling and deletion features it calls for.
Can you build fraud and underwriting features for a Dallas lender?
Yes. Fraud scoring, onboarding and KYC document checks, AML alert triage, and underwriting that returns reason codes are all work we have built. Our financial services clients have included fintech startups and banks and credit unions.
Our systems are a CRM, an accounting package and a lot of spreadsheets. Where would you start?
With the 90-minute AI workflow audit: we follow one process end to end and mark every place someone copies data from one system into another. The audit is complimentary when it is bundled with a larger build and available as a paid one-off on its own. A sensible first build is the handoff that costs the most hours.
Can you work alongside our in-house developers?
Yes. We can join your sprints and code review as added capacity, or take ownership of a defined piece of the system with a clear handover back to your team.
Which time zone do you work in?
We are based in Mt Pleasant, SC, on Eastern time. Dallas is on Central time, one hour behind.
